I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), specializing in young adults, teens, children, families and 0-5 ages in the city of Los Angeles, specifically privately located in a peaceful setting in Glendale/Burbank, CA. I am also open to working with you in your own settings.
I was born and raised in sunny California, receiving my undergraduate degree from the University of California, Davis in Communications and Psychology. Then I continued back to Los Angeles, where I received two Masters of Science degrees from California State University, Northridge in Counseling, specializing in both Marriage and Family Therapy and Career Counseling. I have had the privilege of working within several different populations throughout the years, such as Special Needs children, Young Adults on the Spectrum, birth to five population, Domestic Violence families/children, School-Based children, Behavioral problems, ADHD, Depression, Anxiety, Self-Harming Behaviors, Life Changes, Farsi-Speaking, Trauma, Grief, Drug/Alcohol issues and many other populations.
I have a certification from the Napa Infant-Parent Mental Health Fellowship, and endorsed as an Infant-Family & Early Childhood Mental Health Specialist and Reflective Facilitator, Level II from the state of California. I am certified in the NCAST Feeding Scale and Neonatal Behavioral Observation (NBO). I am also certified in Managing Adaptive Practices (MAP), Incredible Years (IY) Dina Group Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Child Parent Psychology (CPP). I am trained in IY Toddler, Preschool, School Readiness Parenting Group and can provide services in Farsi as well.
My hobbies and life path include following a spiritual path, meditating, keeping fit, traveling, dancing, enjoying my cat, outdoor activities, playing volleyball and spending time with family and friends.
